This series of 36 maps has been produced in support of developing a “Climate and Feasibility Assessment of Growing Wine Grapes in the Lillooet-Lytton Area, British Columbia” – a research partnership that includes the British Columbia Grape Growers' Association, local property owners, Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the BC Ministry of Agriculture. Further information on this project including additional long-term climate data, progress reports, and specific grape trial information can be found at www.grapegrowers.bc.ca as well as on the website of he BC Ministry of Agriculture. An article in Orchard and Vine in April, 2015 by John Vielvoye provides more information on this project.
These maps are in jpeg and pdf format and are designed to be plotted on 34 by 44 inch paper. This will result in a map at 1:50,000 scale. Three map sheets are required to show the extent of the study area. A set of three maps has been prepared for each month. A large zip file (33 Mb) containing all 36 pdf files is available for download.
